Example of Mie medium

Medium This medium allows defining a non-dense and homogeous system with a host medium and particles (colloids) dispersed within. Based on Lorenz-Mie theory, this node computes all the medium’s optical properties like refractive index, the absorption and the volume scattering properties.

The host medium is defined by a dielectric function (Absorbance or Complex) and one or more colloids that make up the system.

Be careful, the pre-calculation time can be significant for a large particle size, a large number of colloids or an over-sampled size distribution.
